Adopting a new puppy or kitten is a fun and exciting experience, but do you know what to expect with your new family member? Our puppy and kitten wellness plans were created with you in mind for an educational experience while preparing your puppy or kitten for lifelong health and success. Through a series of vaccinations, we protect your puppy from the most prevalent and dangerous diseases, such as distemper, parvovirus, bordetella (Kennel Cough), and rabies while kittens are protected from feline distemper, feline leukemia, and rabies. We also test and treat any internal parasites common among young dogs and cats. We also provide a Puppy or Kitten Welcome Packet full of information on vaccination protocol, when to schedule a spay or neuter, training, and acclimation to their new home. Our doctors and staff are excited and prepared to answer any questions you may have regarding your new pet and his or her care.
Wellness and Vaccination Programs
Annual wellness checks are important for the health of your pets. By bringing your pets in regularly, you are able to keep their vaccinations up-to-date and maintained for year long protection. At these wellness visits, our doctors evaluate how your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, gums, heart, andlungs are aging as well as detect any onset diseases or conditions that your pet may have. By staying ontop of your pet’s care, we can help preserve quality of life and them to live longer.

Pets can start to enter their senior stage of life around six to eight years of age depending on their breed, build, and genetics. At Tri-County Veterinary Service, we know that our older patients require more care and attention which is why we created our Senior Wellness Program. As part of the program, your pet will receive a complete and thorough physical examination and diagnostic testing to aid in the early detection and prevention of potentially life-threatening diseases. Listed below are the full details of everything included in the Senior Wellness Program as well as the diagnostic testing done:
